London to Trysil: Our Motorhome Road Trip Adventure

There’s something incredibly freeing about packing up your home on wheels and hitting the open road, not quite sure where each stop will take you. Marc and I set off from London in our beloved motorhome, bound for Trysil, Norway—but as always, it wasn’t just about the destination. It was about the journey.
We rolled out early, weaving through France, catching the sunrise over sleepy fields, and grabbing buttery croissants in a quiet village boulangerie. Then came Belgium, where we indulged in proper Belgian waffles (because how could we not?), and the Netherlands, where windmills lined the roads like something from a storybook.
Crossing into Germany, the motorways opened up and so did Marc’s grin—he never misses a chance to test the motorhome’s limits on those famously fast autobahns. We spent the night near a serene lake in Denmark, windows cracked open to let in the crisp northern air.

Finally, we boarded the ferry to Sweden, winding our way through stunning countryside and dense pine forests. The landscape grew wilder with every mile, and by the time we crossed into Norway, it felt like we’d driven straight into a postcard.
Arriving in Trysil, we were greeted by snow-dusted peaks and the stillness that only the mountains can bring. It was the perfect ending to a road trip that spanned countries, cultures, and so many cozy nights parked under the stars.
There’s nothing quite like the freedom of the road—and no better co-pilot than Marc.
