Our final stop was Jaipur, a city that looks like it’s been dipped in sunset. From the moment we arrived, Jaipur felt different—royal, warm, and full of surprises.

We explored the Amber Fort, rising like a dream from the desert hills. Riding up on a jeep, we were greeted by sweeping views, mirrored halls, and ancient courtyards. Marc loved the military history, and I was swept away by the elegance of it all.
The Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its honeycomb façade was something straight out of a fairytale. And the City Palace, still home to the royal family, was a blend of heritage and grandeur that made us feel like we were stepping through the pages of a storybook.
But it wasn’t all palaces and forts—we wandered the colourful bazaars, where I couldn’t resist the bangles, scarves, and handmade trinkets. Marc found us a rooftop café, and we sat there sipping masala chai as the city glowed pink beneath the setting sun.
Everywhere we went in Jaipur, we were greeted with kindness. Locals shared stories, shopkeepers smiled with genuine curiosity, and we were reminded once again why we travel—to connect, to learn, to feel.
