In our last blog post, I shared the unforgettable details of our road trip from St. Moritz to the Dolomites—hiking with Bernice, hiring a boat on Lago di Braies, and staying at the beautiful Hotel Pragser Wildsee. But what I didn’t reveal was that there was a little clue hidden in the photos from that trip. Some of you may have caught on, but for those who didn’t, here’s the big news: Marc and I eloped on that beautiful mountain top in the Dolomites!

Yes, it’s true! Amid the breathtaking scenery, dramatic peaks, and lush green meadows, Marc and I decided to make the Dolomites the backdrop for one of the most important moments of our lives. It was a quiet, intimate ceremony, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting.

The decision to elope in the mountains was spontaneous and incredibly special to us. But there was one small challenge—hiking to our chosen spot while I was in my wedding dress! For those of you familiar with the rugged trails of the Dolomites, you can imagine how tricky this was. I traded in my usual hiking gear for a wedding gown, and instead of delicate bridal heels, I wore my trusty hiking boots. It made for quite the sight!

The hike was definitely not easy—climbing steep, rocky paths while keeping my dress clean and manageable was a challenge I hadn’t anticipated. But with Marc by my side, and Bernice happily riding along in her backpack, we made our way to the top. Every step was worth it once we reached the stunning panoramic view, where the towering peaks framed the moment beautifully.

The ceremony itself was simple and intimate, just the way we wanted it. It was just the two of us (well, three if you count Bernice!) exchanging vows surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Dolomites. The quiet of the mountains, the cool breeze, and the incredible views made it feel like we were the only people in the world at that moment.

We chose to keep the ceremony small and secret, knowing that we would have a more traditional gathering back home in London for our close family and friends. It was a moment for just us, to celebrate our love and the start of this next chapter in our lives in a way that felt uniquely ours.

After our adventure in the Dolomites, we returned to London where we held a small, secret ceremony for close family. It was the perfect follow-up to our mountaintop elopement, with only our closest loved ones in attendance. We shared our story and the special details of our mountain wedding, and it felt like the perfect blend of adventure and tradition.

Looking back, eloping in the Dolomites was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. It was an adventure, a challenge (especially the hiking part!), and a deeply personal way to celebrate our love. And now, every time we look at the photos from that trip, we’re reminded of the incredible journey we’ve been on—not just through Europe, but together in life.

So, if you noticed something different in those Dolomites photos, you were right! It wasn’t just another hike or boat ride on the lake—there was a little more magic happening behind the scenes. We’re thrilled to share this chapter of our adventure with you, and we can’t wait to see where the road takes us next.

Here’s to more adventures, more surprises, and many more beautiful memories to come!
